God doesn’t mince words. He declares, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Ps 14:1). This is not meant so much to merely degrade the atheist, but expose the absurd and defunct position of one who has embraced a presupposition that defies knowledge. In short, atheism is irrational because it provides no basis for the presuppositions that lead to knowledge. This series will examine those assumptions in an attempt to show how atheism is contradictory, self-refuting, and, thereby, irrational.
Irrational Atheism #1:
How do you know what you know? In this short video, we examine a basic yet profound assumption in order to see which worldview really leads to knowledge.
Irrational Atheism #2:
In this short video, we examine another fundamental assumption we take for granted every moment of our lives. As we’ll see, atheism can’t provide a basis for this presupposition, leaving the atheist in an irrational position. The fear of the Lord IS the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1:7).
Celebrate Reason
Atheists are propping up billboards during the Christmas season supposedly taking a swipe at Jesus Christ. All these suggestions to “Celebrate Reason” only serve to show the silliness of their own position and the self-refuting nature of atheism.
Atheists don’t exist
For many Christians, the atheist is like the boogeyman they’re hoping does not exist for fear that they will be shaken out of their faith by the mysterious and ominous onslaught of the Dark Horses of New Atheism–Richard Dawkins, Daniel Dennet, Sam Harris, and the late Christopher Hitchens. But, even though many may profess to be atheists, you’ll see that when you slow down and consider their position, atheists don’t even exist.
